Harmony House operates as a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in the State of Nevada. We maintain full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing the care and safety of our residents.

State Licensing

Harmony House is licensed and regulated by the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), which oversees residential facilities for groups that provide care to residents who require assistance with daily living activities.

Our facility license is maintained in good standing and is subject to regular inspections and renewals as required by Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) Chapter 449 and Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapter 449.

  • HIPAA: Protection of resident health information in accordance with federal privacy standards
  • ADA Compliance: Facility accessibility for individuals with disabilities
  • Fair Housing Act: Non-discriminatory admission and care practices

Staff Qualifications

All Harmony House staff members meet or exceed Nevada’s requirements for residential care personnel, including:

  • Background checks and fingerprinting for all employees
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Training in medication administration and management
  • Ongoing education in elder care, dementia awareness, and IDD support
  • Annual continuing education and competency assessments
  • Specialized training for care of residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Inspections & Oversight

Our facility is subject to regular oversight, including:

  • Annual licensing inspections by the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health
  • Fire Marshal inspections and safety reviews
  • Health Department inspections for food safety and sanitation
  • Unannounced complaint investigations as needed

Inspection reports and licensing status are matters of public record and can be verified through the Nevada DPBH.

Resident Rights

Harmony House upholds the rights of all residents as defined by Nevada law, including but not limited to:
